This is a continuation of the beloved Word Replacer II originally created by G3Kappa. It has been completely updated to Manifest V3 to ensure it stays alive and working on modern Chrome and Edge browsers. It features a brand new UI, several new features, and under-the-hood optimizations.
Upgrading from WR II? You can still use the Import feature in the settings to bring over your old word lists.
After Chrome discontinued support for the older manifest version, the original extension stopped working. I heavily relied on it for university, and since my uni restricted browser switching, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I used this as an opportunity to learn web development, fix the extension for myself, and share it with anyone else who might need it.
